Business Management

On this course you will discover how systems are organised, designed and implemented. Learn about the latest advances in computer science in areas like artificial intelligence, cyber security and human-computer interaction.

The course places a strong emphasis on gaining practical experience. You’ll also learn about design thinking, algorithms, optimisation, and complex problem solving. In your final year you’ll complete advanced topics in computer science before completing a major project. This will be an opportunity to leverage user-centred design thinking and incorporate cutting edge advances in computing into your project.

Minimum Entry Requirements
 
Age: 18 Years Old

​Academic: Three A Levels at grade BCC or above. BTEC Extended Diploma at grade DMM. UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma. T Level (pass or above). Access to Higher Education Diploma. International Baccalaureate at grade 24 or above. Other/Mixed qualifications equivalent to 104 UCAS Tariff points.

Work Experience: Mature students, those with minimum 5 years of work experience or with qualifications other than those listed above.

Level 5

Business Accounting

In this module students will be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge in understanding the basic principles and practices of financial and managerial accounting and controls. 

Contemporary Economics

This module teaches students to understand the various opportunities in the business industry through fundamental concepts and theories of micro and macroeconomics.

Leadership and Entrepreneurship

This module allows students to develop entrepreneurial skills and mindset to identify, evaluate, and maximise business opportunities. By applying different leadership styles and approaches to build and manage high-performing teams.

Digital Transformation

Gives understanding of the key concepts and technologies of digital transformation in business. By identifying and evaluating digital opportunities and threats for different industries and markets and develop digital strategies and business models that leverage innovation and creativity

Talent Management

This module allows students to understand the key concepts of talent attraction, management, learning and development, and rewards. By developing and implementing talent management strategies that align with business goals and values, which enables them to evaluate the effectiveness of talent acquisition, development, and retention practices in a global context.

Organisational Behaviour

This module prepares students in understanding the fundamental theories and concepts of organisational behaviour. By analysing and interpreting individual and group behaviour in different organisational contexts to develop strategies to enhance employee motivation, engagement, and well-being in a global workplace

Global Business Ethics

This module prepares students in understanding the importance of ethical and social responsibility in a global business environment. By analysing and evaluating ethical dilemmas and challenges faced by businesses and managers in different cultures and markets. That enables students to suggest ethical policies and practices that align with global standards.

Level 6

Applied Research Methods

This modules aids students in the understanding and development of algorithms for data capture and display by creating functioning prototypes for connected devices and AR/VR.

Situating Your Practice

In this module, students will be able to evaluate activities underpinning business operations and reflect upon application of Project Management techniques and Management Information Systems.

Final Implemenatation

This module teaches students to reflect on their experience of developing the project and evaluation of what went right or wrong, which includes in depth analysis of their work and relevant/potential industrial applications.

Business Objective: Market Research and Portfolio
